Heroics!

Kuan and Viljo were bumming around doing dailies that count last night. (Hyjal is at 82% done with the harbor.) There were a variety of people online and someone asked if anyone wanted to run heroic Magisters Terrace. We were quite excited at the thought, but there were no actual healers or tanks online. So Telt went instead of Viljo, and a dps warrior specced prot.

This was perhaps a very expensive decision. Telt did an OK job healing, but it's hard when she kept getting beat on. :( And the warrior's prot gear could have used some work, so there wasn't a lot of margin for missed heals. But the group managed to one-shot the first boss, and then 2-shot the second boss. The third boss was a lot of trouble. Her group had both the MS warrior and the fury warrior, as well as the mage and the engineer. The warriors kept coming over and abusing Telt. But we finally got a good kiting/sheeping strategy down, and amazingly when it all came together all of us lived. After that we went on to wipe out that horrible group of 7 just before Kael and then one shot Kael himself. Kuanchichi was wise and saved the shaman earth elemental until the 7-pull and that kept the chaos to a manageable level. Kael was made much easier by the use of an arcane prot potion when he tossed us up in the air.

The trinket from the 3rd boss was all for Telt: Vial of the Sunwell. I've found it really useful so far. It's easy to get a stack of 20 quite fast, and having an instant direct heal definitely saved things at least a couple of times in the next two heroics we ran.

We headed to Auchindoun next and Kuan swapped to Eeyan for Sethekk Halls. That went much smoother. Though none of the drops were any good, but the badges were nice.

After that Kuan came back and we went to Mana Tombs. Once again Telt was in MT with zero cc. It was very rough in places, but we managed to get through it and get the last boss down. Who sadly didn't drop the frost prot recipe for Kuan. Ah well, Telt didn't get the Fort to boot yet either.
